The Countryside Tour allows you to enjoy the real rural scenery off the main highway, along (sometimes) very bumpy roads. The free community school we visit is about 35 km away from Siem Reap. Leaving mid-morning we can explore the rural lifestyle first, stopping to check out the local delicacies at the roadside stalls, if you are game to try. If you want to buy something for the school, we can support the local market on the way. The school classes start at 13:00-20:00 (Monday-Friday) and you are invited to assist the Khmer teacher with the English lessons. No teaching skills required. The children love practicing their English with you, though some might be a bit shy. Break time is fun time. Join in their game or teach them your favorite childhood game, or perhaps you can teach them a song? Why not? Your being there is valuable for the children to practice what they learn, as well as the social skills they gain mixing with foreigners. These children do not have the opportunities that city children enjoy. Stay as long as you choose. We will return to the city when you are ready.
Coming from a poor farming family and having struggled to obtain an education for himself, Kosorl truly believes that improved education, more work opportunities and fair pay is what is needed to ensure a better quality of life for the next and future generations of Cambodians. Kosorl’s passion is to run a social enterprise as free English Class in his community where young professionals, like himself, can encourage and assist the younger generation to know the importance of education, of obtaining a University degree or entering a technical apprenticeship. As a first step, Kosorl, with a team of other graduates, has spoken at high schools in the countryside encouraging students to study hard and given ideas on what is possible and advice on how students can achieve their dreams. By supporting Siem Reap Angkor Tour Guide you will be assisting Kosorl’s dream to make a difference to the lives and living conditions of his people. His desire is that all visitors understand the Khmer culture, proud past history, current history and what his vision for the future of Cambodia could be.

EXCELLENT Based on 70 reviews Sara N2025-04-06Verified Kulen with Mr. K The Kulen mountains and Boeng Mealea are not on the typical trip to Siem Reap but I highly recommend taking the time to visit these places. We were a team of volunteers from the National Museum of Bangkok visiting Khmer sites and we had an excellent visit with Mr. K and his team. Sara N2025-04-06Verified Koh Ker with Mr. K We were a team of volunteers from the National Museum Bangkok touring Khmer temples outside of the Angkor complex. Koh Ker was really a highlight and very worth the extra time it takes to visit. Mr K is very professional and knowledgeable and we had an excellent tour with him and his professional driver. Will definitely use the service again when I come back! J. K.2025-03-17Verified Preah Vihear day trip I decided to go with Easy Angkor Trip, run by Mr. K. after having already visited other Khmer temples with him. Mr. K. and Mr. Nakhim, the driver, have been always very attentive. The long drive up to Preah Vihear was quite smooth and Mr. K. pointed out some landmarks, like the former Khmer Rouge territory, which I would have missed without him. After reaching the actual site, we spent more than 2 hours exploring the different buildings and Mr. K. took fantastic photos which he shared with me! A visit to Preah Vihear temple is a magic and unique experience, which I highly recommend. Despite a very early start, I had a most memorable day that would not have been possible on my own, thanks to Mr. K. and Mr. Nakhim! I will certainly return to Cambodia to continue discovering this wonderful country. Patrick Kee2025-01-28Verified Kulen Mountain and Thousand Lingas Kulen Mountain, located about 50 kilometers from Siem Reap, Cambodia, is a historically significant and picturesque destination. Known as the birthplace of the Khmer Empire, it was here that King Jayavarman II declared himself the first god-king of the Angkorian era in the 9th century. The mountain is home to ancient ruins, sacred sites like the giant reclining Buddha, and the famed River of a Thousand Lingas, where intricately carved stone sculptures lie beneath the flowing water. The Kulen waterfall, a highlight for visitors, features two tiers of cascading water surrounded by lush jungle, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and swimming. Kulen Mountain is not only a natural wonder but also a spiritual and cultural landmark, attracting locals and tourists alike for its beauty, history, and religious significance. Mikel L2024-06-10Verified Go with Mr. K. if you want to live a unique temple and cultural experience After visiting the most known temples of Angkor Wat complex, we decided to do the Grand Circuit Tour and Banteay Srei on the following day, so we could get a better insight into Cambodian culture. These are more secluded temples and therefore much quieter and less crowded, almost for yourself, in the middle of nature and where you can only hear the birds. We decided to go with Easy Angkor Trip, run by Mr. K. He gave us all kinds of details and curiosities which helped us to understand more about the history and religion of this fantastic country, besides taking lots of amazing pictures. We also had so much fun with Mr. Nakhim, our driver, who was always smiling and so attentive to all that we could need. Thanks to Mr. K we were also able to meet many different people, have a taste of the rich cuisine of the area (including some vegetables we took from the fields) and get to know more remote villages in the jungle. In short, we lived a unique experience that would not have been possible on our own. If you really want to understand the history and meet the people of Cambodia Mr. K. is your man. We highly recommend this tour and we are looking forward to come back to continue discovering this wonderful country. Mikel L2024-06-10Verified Authentic experience! Having a guide like Mr K who is knowledgeable, passionate, and makes the learning fun and engaging made this a very memorable experience. When we return we will only tour with Mr K. We highly recommend this tour w/this guide! Kathy P2024-02-28Verified A highlight of our trip to Cambodia! The Angkor cycling hidden trails with our guide, Mr K was a fantastic experience. He is well organized, extremely friendly and knowledgeable and can accommodate the amount of cycling you want to do. Plus, the bikes are high quality. We enjoyed the road and trail riding along with learning so much from our guide on Angkor and Cambodia. Highly recommend! 140lauriei2024-02-12Verified Village tour We really enjoyed today’s tour. It is more important to us to see how the people in the country really live. We visited a school for grade school children that were learning English. To get to this village we took a boat ride along the river and saw the lives of those who live along the waterways. It will open your mind to the way the people live and the drastic need for education.
