The Countryside Tour allows you to enjoy the real rural scenery off the main highway, along (sometimes) very bumpy roads. The free community school we visit is about 35 km away from Siem Reap. Leaving mid-morning we can explore the rural lifestyle first, stopping to check out the local delicacies at the roadside stalls, if you are game to try. If you want to buy something for the school, we can support the local market on the way. The school classes start at 13:00-20:00 (Monday-Friday) and you are invited to assist the Khmer teacher with the English lessons. No teaching skills required. The children love practicing their English with you, though some might be a bit shy. Break time is fun time. Join in their game or teach them your favorite childhood game, or perhaps you can teach them a song? Why not? Your being there is valuable for the children to practice what they learn, as well as the social skills they gain mixing with foreigners. These children do not have the opportunities that city children enjoy. Stay as long as you choose. We will return to the city when you are ready.
Coming from a poor farming family and having struggled to obtain an education for himself, Kosorl truly believes that improved education, more work opportunities and fair pay is what is needed to ensure a better quality of life for the next and future generations of Cambodians. Kosorl’s passion is to run a social enterprise as free English Class in his community where young professionals, like himself, can encourage and assist the younger generation to know the importance of education, of obtaining a University degree or entering a technical apprenticeship. As a first step, Kosorl, with a team of other graduates, has spoken at high schools in the countryside encouraging students to study hard and given ideas on what is possible and advice on how students can achieve their dreams. By supporting Siem Reap Angkor Tour Guide you will be assisting Kosorl’s dream to make a difference to the lives and living conditions of his people. His desire is that all visitors understand the Khmer culture, proud past history, current history and what his vision for the future of Cambodia could be.

EXCELLENT Based on 81 reviews Posted on GlobetrotterMSKVerified Prasat Pram Prasat Pram is a temple complex consisting of three temples standing close together. Picturesque photo backdrop, also architecturally interesting.Posted on Roberto dVerified Sambor preikuk Magnificent place, surrounded by nature outside the crowds of angkor wat. Only the sound of birds and their own footsteps in the woods allows you to immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the temples. Always good, helpful and cute our Kosorl guide who on the way back made us discover coconut biscuits and coconut pudding made at the timePosted on Roberto dVerified Temples to discover Very suggestive trip out of the crowd of angkor wat and in a natural setting of great beauty. Nice to see these temples almost alone and with an unspoilt jungle surrounding them. Thanks also to the guide Kosorl.Posted on GailVerified Fun Bike Riding Tour to Sambor Preikuk It's a full day trip, with the drive there, a couple hours cycling, lunch at a local community, then home again (including toilet stops, snacks, drinks if you need). The cycling is easy riding, well made tracks and not very busy. The trees are shady and cool. There are 3 areas to visit, so a good amount of riding but not too much. The park is not like Angkor Wat; different in style style and smaller in architecture. If someone in your group is not up to riding, it's possible to take a moto around, so they don't miss out on a fun day.Posted on PJ1916Verified Recommended Temple Tour by bicycle Great experience, a lot of fun. Bicycles were in excellent condition and easy to ride. Track through the forest were flat, compact sand and quite wide. There wasn’t any traffic, just the occasional tourist walking the tracks.Posted on PJ1916Verified Bicycle Temple Tour The drive from Siem Reap was very pretty through all the rice fields and through some interesting local markets. The bicycles provided were in excellent condition and easy to control. The tracks through the forest to the temples were flat, with a compact sandy surface, with plenty of shade from all the trees. It was beautiful. Kosorl was a safe driver, the vehicle in excellent condition and he was very attentive to our needs/requests. I highly recommend this tour.Posted on GailVerified Fantastic Day at Sambor Preikuk with Mr Kosorl A fun way to see the temples of Sombor Preikuk is by bicycle. If you enjoy walking, that's easy too. If you're not so agile, a driver with moto can be arranged to take you around. The trails are well made, well signed and generally not crowded. The whole area is very shady with beautiful trees. Occasionally you might see well behaved monkeys. This complex was built 6-7th century so much older, smaller and quite different to what you see at Angkor Wat. I can highly recommend a day trip to Sambor Preikuk with Mr Kosorl and Easy Angkor Trip. It is a long day with many sights of Khmer life along the way.Posted on Daniel WVerified Awesome experience! Great guide!! Angkor Wat sunrise tour was amazing. Easy pick up, great service and a good price. My wife and I went with our two young daughters, one of whom was a little ill and wilted in the heat. Our guide was amazing with the kids, keeping them motivated, adjusting the itinerary to suit their ability and even took us home early so we could finish the tour with him the following morning (an unplanned second day, after the kids had a chance to rest). The temples are amazing and the guide was really knowledgeable and keen to share local insights. Thanks for a wonderful experience!Posted on Christine VVerified Fantastic tour Fantastic experience! My guide had us leave early to beat the traffic. It felt like I had most of the temples to myself. I really enjoyed the day in the jungle with the wildlife and beautiful temples and history. The guide was very supportive of the local community and we stopped in a village to see flax rice being made. An absolutely wonderful day.Posted on Landyn LVerified Sunrise with the family We had a lovely trip. We started today at 5 30. Arrived at the temple entrance at 5, 45. I traveled with my wife and two children five and ten years old. My five-year-old, I carried on my shoulders most of the time. it was still warm, but it was a lovely time to see the sunrise rise behind the temple. We had a lovely tour guide, Mr K. He arranged a short abbreviated tour of the temple. He provided a well informed background of the region and history beyond just the temple which was very informative. He was willing to go longer, but we had to keep it short because the kids were starting to get a bit Restless. We return to the hotel around 7, 30. Highly recommend climbing the tour. Kids were not allowed to the climb the tower which was very sharp. The stairs would be very difficult if someone was injured or have trouble walking. If your traveling to Siem Reap the temple is a must
