Pottery Class & Royal Archery

After you finished breakfast your guide or driver will pick you up at 8:30 from your hotel to places to visit places. Royal archery was famous during the Angkor time but nowadays it’s almost forgotten by the young generation. Many examples of Royal archery can be seen in the Angkor and Bayon galleries. Archers were trained to use three different types of bows – the Traditional Bow, the Recurve Bow and the Compound Bow. The ancient Kings used the Royal archers in their military parades. This is your chance to learn how to use the bows and challenge your skills against the archery team when you start shooting. This tour takes approximately 1hr 30 mins during which time you will have fun with the archery team, learning new skills as well as learning about the ancient archery history

A Pottery Class is one of the popular things you can do in Siem Reap. This is an amazing opportunity to make local pottery with a young team of teachers. During the class you will pull clay out of the bag and throw your clay on the wheel. Using the potter’s wheel and feeling the sensation of the clay, you will make your special, individual shape. Once that is done you then remove your pot from the wheel. Now it is time for you to add Khmer carvings and stamps using potter’s tools. Your teachers will assist you to make this a unique piece of work. It is great fun as you make something that you can take home to remind you of Siem Reap. As the pottery needs to be fire glazed it won’t be available until the next day around 16:00. If you don’t have time to collect, it is possible to ship to your home address which will be your own expense.
